Homecoming 2008

Well, I, for one, loved being at Homecoming!  Of course, it did not hurt one iota that we won the game.  :)  It was great to see some of my sisters and to catch up a bit.

Dinner at Hideaway was great, as always, even if they forgot to put our pizza order in for over an hour.  Heck, I'll wait an hour for a free pizza!

We did the Walk Around and looked at all of the yard decorations.  I must say, the Gamma Phi piece was FABULOUS!!!!  And they were horrifically robbed when they got 4th place during the game.  Robbed.  Horrifically.  Really.  So sad.

But the game was great, and thanks so much to V & R, we had the most awesome club seats!!  Son #3 enjoyed them immensely.  Daughters 2 & 3 were not fortunate enough to sit with us.  They had to sit with the other cranky bears.  Poor little bears.  

I also got to see N's dorm room --- where my dorm building USED to be!  So very strange.  And something even stranger --- a room of your own?!!  Your own room, your own bath room??  What the heck is up with that??!!!! SHEESH!

We had community showers and we were HAPPY for them!!!  Up hill AND down!  Wait .... wrong story.  Oh well.

Anyway, my G Phi B friends, when can we come visit at the lakehouse in Texas?  I'm guessing that from now until the end of the year is out?  Not necessarily for me, but maybe for more of you?  If not, set me straight!!  I'd love to plan a weekend any time!!  Start giving me dates and we'll plan it!

OK, that's all for now.  Now I have to go to bed so that I can be sure to be rested for Saturday's Big, Bigger, BIGGEST game yet!!!  2:30.  OSU vs UT.  Both undefeated.  Both pumped.  Both ready for the kill.  But only one will win.  And that will be (hopefully) US!!!!!!!!!!!!!

100th Homecoming

OK, ladies ...... who's planning on making it to Homecoming??  I bought my airline tickets yesterday and am bringing my youngest.  We're staying with Vicki and going to the Walk Around on Friday night and then the game on Saturday.  I haven't been to a game since they played the bowl game here!!

I hope to see several G Phi B's!!!

OK, G Phi B's ----- anyone out there?

I'm wondering whether to keep this blog site or delete it.  Anyone have any opinions?  If you want to keep it we need to get the word out to other sisters ---- forward the address or call or use smoke signals --- however you can communicate!!!!

Change of plans...

Well, Vicki was here this past week and we both decided that we'd like to go to Homecoming, especially because it's a special one --- like the 100th or millionth, or something like that.

So, let's see if we can get a lot of us to meet that weekend in Stillwater.  

Then we can try to plan another weekend at the lake.

Please send this link on to anyone you know.  I thought I sent it to most of our pledge class, but there have been very few responses so I'm not sure.  

Teri, can you pass it on?  

Also,  we can pass it on to some of the other classes, too --- like the 2 before ours and maybe the 2 or 3 after?  Thoughts?

Oh, and CONGRATS TO TERI on Christopher's engagement!!!!  I can NOT believe we're THAT old!!!!

Rush -- do recs help at all???

Vicki M asked this question, because her niece got cut on the first day from GPhiB.  What gives?  There's no way that should've happened?  Do recs not count anymore?  I have heard that it's much different now and that the girls really don't pay that much attention to them.

Does anyone know about this?  Terri B?
